It is always a good thing when a happilu ever agter occurs. Justin is now back in New Orleans to take care of his dying grandmother. Snow on the Bayou is the long awaited next book in the series and well worth the wait. After a quick shower, an upswept hairdo, chandelier earrings, and a layer of makeup thicker than she usually wore, Emelie pulled on a pair of white linen slacks and black t-shirt. Can she trust that this time the bad boy of the bayou will be the best man for her? Tante Lulu liked the sound of that. Which brings me to Snow on the Bayou. Can they also share a future? It was great to see MacLean and some of characters like Teejohn, and Charmaine, from previous books making an appearance in this one.
Which allows for several of Justin's navy buddies to show up and creates some fun opportunities for future books. Justin 'Cage' and Em are a thrilling, perfect together couple that will make you take you on a heart warming love story! It Contains Lost Love, Forgiveness, Family, and Second Chances. I give it 5 ragin, cajun stars. Another issue with the writing was the pronunciation r It was mostly the writing of the book that stopped me from really enjoying it. This books made me laugh, this book made me cry, this book touched me in ways that I can still hear the characters speaking in my head.
There is something mysterious about the bayou, and I love books set in Louisiana. Especially as a young girl, definitive curves were not the ideal. No way was she walking the French Quarter streets in a strapless sheath and stiletto heels, especially with her late night return.
I'll admit - I've never read Sandra Hill before. Emelie, the heroine, was his childhood friend and later sweetheart. Justin was driven out of town by Emelie's father, but she didn't know that at first. There was lots of life in this old gal yet. When he sees Emelie again, he feels as though no time has passed and finds himself still in love with her. And she could practically see the wheels turning in his head, as he took in all that was Tante Lulu, wondering what kind of lunatic he had in his office.
Heck Ms Hill could have just cut out one of the many sex scenes and ended this plot properly. Can she trust that this time the bad boy of the bayou will be the best man for her? Justin LeBlanc sat on the treatment table in the medical center at the special forces center in Coronado, California, waiting for the stern-faced doctor to give him the test results. The fact that Justin was confused about his feelings regarding Em. Hate by her father had kept them apart but hearts heal eventually and this is a good story about mending hearts. She has no idea how big a role her father played. But the new Justin who stands before her is so very different than the boy who broke her heart so long ago, and the feelings that sizzle between these two simply cannot be denied.
As expensive as her masks were new, the older creations had become highly collectible. To be honest, I didn't really mind it though because I was loving everything that was going on between them emotionally. Still, her great aunt had the subtlety of a horny bull in a field of pretty cows. I adore Tante Lulu even thou I'm sure her family wishes she wouldn't be quite as colorful. Quick, sweet and oh so very lovely, this book needs to be on your to-read list! One of her earliest from ten years ago had sold on Ebay recently for ten thousand dollars.
I think that she was very realistic and seemed like a normal woman. Through it all one thing that made this book so easy to love besides Justin and his sexiness, Tante Lulu and all her funniness. Or at least it felt like drilling. A fabulous character who brings an insane perspective to each book. I can't wait to see what else happens on the Bayou when Tante Lulu is involved! She's on my list of authors to automatically buy because I know she writes some really great stories filled with humor, and wit.

Susan Adler smiled at him, making it impossible for him to howl like a baby. But I loved the title of this book when I saw it on NetGalley and I had to try it! I want to take a second to mention the secondary characters too. During those rebellious years, he was in love with Emelie, but her father, in cahoots with the judge, forced him out of town, giving him a choice to either leave and join the service or go to jail. On yet another side, beyond the buildings, was the icy blue Pacific Ocean that shimmered under a blistering sun, almost as pretty as the bayou on a summer morning. Not crawfish though; food of the gods? I loved Justin and his MaMaw Mamie.
